Anti-Ragging Committee

Upholding Campus Safety & Dignity
KT School of Nursing is committed to providing every student with a safe, respectful and supportive learning environment. To maintain a campus free from ragging, the institution has constituted an Anti-Ragging Committee that works to prevent such behaviour and respond promptly to any reported incident.
The committee follows the anti-ragging regulations and directions issued by the University Grants Commission (UGC) and the Ministry of Education. It consists of senior faculty members, administrative representatives and student members who collectively promote discipline, mutual respect and student welfare across the campus.
Key Functions of the Committee
Awareness and Prevention
The committee conducts orientation and sensitisation sessions for newly admitted and senior students, helping them understand the harmful consequences and legal implications of ragging.
Campus Supervision
Anti-Ragging Squads regularly monitor classrooms, hostels, canteens, common areas and other student spaces to identify and prevent inappropriate behaviour.
Confidential Complaint Support
Students can report concerns through a secure and confidential process. Every complaint is handled with sensitivity while safeguarding the privacy and well-being of the student involved.
Disciplinary Action
Any student found participating in ragging may face strict disciplinary measures in accordance with institutional policies, applicable laws and UGC regulations.
Anti-Ragging Awareness Initiatives
KT School of Nursing adopts a preventive approach by regularly organising awareness activities, including:
Orientation and sensitisation programmes for students, faculty and staff
Display of anti-ragging posters, notices and informational materials across the campus
Inclusion of anti-ragging information in admission materials and on the institutional website
Communication of the consequences and penalties associated with ragging

Anti-Ragging Cell
The Anti-Ragging Cell serves as a dedicated support point for students who need guidance, assistance or wish to report a concern. It coordinates anti-ragging activities, supports awareness efforts and works with the relevant authorities to ensure immediate and appropriate action whenever required.
Contact the Committee
Students are encouraged to contact the Anti-Ragging Committee without delay if they experience, observe or become aware of any act of ragging. Every concern will be treated seriously and confidentially, with the safety, dignity and well-being of students remaining the institution’s highest priority.
